She moved in. **For the lucky among us, life is what you make of it; but for Dixie Wheeler, the theme music for her story was chosen by another long ago, on the day her father butchered her mother and brothers and then slashed a knife across his own throat.** Only one-year-old Dixie was spared, becoming infamously known as Baby Blue for the song left playing in the aftermath of the slaughter. Twenty-five years later, Dixie is still desperate for a connection to the family she can’t remember. So when her childhood home goes up for sale, Dixie sets aside all reason and moves in. But as the ghosts of her family seemingly begin to take up residence in the house that was once theirs, Dixie starts to question her sanity and wonders if the evil force menacing her is that of her father or a demon of her own making. In order to make sense of her present, Dixie becomes determined to unravel the truth of her past and seeks out the detective who originally investigated the murders. But the more she learns, the more she opens up the uncomfortable possibility that the sins of her father may belong to another. **As bodies begin to pile up around her, Dixie must find a way to expose the lunacy behind her family’s massacre to save her few loved ones who are still alive—and whatever scrap of sanity she has left.** Show more Get the Bindery app * * * Posts about this title from ash.reads.horror [ash.reads.horror\\ \\ ash\\ \\ • Feb 22](https://ashreadshorror.binderybooks.com/) [👻 some haunting tales to fill your tbr 👻 \\ \\ These tales will haunt you with haunted houses and ghos](https://ashreadshorror.binderybooks.com/item/cwb5KidBXWbi2HbONmcu/) 👻 some haunting tales to fill your tbr 👻 These tales will haunt you with haunted houses and ghosts a plenty. #horrorbooks horrorbooksta #horror * * * 18 books Posts about this book from across Bindery [ash.reads.horror\\ \\ ash\\ \\ • Feb 22](https://ashreadshorror.binderybooks.com/) 👻 some haunting tales to fill your tbr 👻 These tales will haunt you with haunted houses and ghosts a plenty. #horrorbooks horrorbooksta #horror * * * 18 books [Infinite Realms Book Club \\ \\ Nozomi \\ \\ • Nov 3 2025](https://the-infinite-realms-bookclub.binderybooks.com/) Join for free [Let's talk about the 9 books that I read in October!\\ \\ **October fantasy book pick: Wild Revernece by Rebecca Ross**\\ \\ I gave this one 4.25 stars. I absolutely love Rebecca Ross's writing. so atmospheric and beautiful. I loved the characters ad their love story so so much. This is a prequel to divine rivals duology but i dont think you need to read the original duology before or read this prior! This can totally be read as a standalone.\\ \\ **October horror book pick: Theme Music by T. Marie Vandelly**\\ \\ I gave this book 3 stars. Part of my dissapointment with this book was my assumption that this was going to be absolutely horrifying. This book definitely did have its dark and gory moments, however, THIS IS NOT A HORROR. this is a thriller book through and through. I did wish we had read something more scary and creepy for October... if you go into this with different expectations than I did, then maybee you would enjoy this more\\ \\ **Quick recap of all the other books that I read**\\ \\ - _Do You Remember by Freida McFadden_: 3 stars this was fun but nothing special\\ \\ - _Tell Me What You Did by Carter Wilson:_ 3 stars I was hooked the entire time but ending was anticlimactic and boring\\ \\ - _Red City by Marie Lu:_ 5 STARS AMAZING THE BEST BOOK IVE READ ALL YEAR\\ \\ - _Long Time Gone by Charlie Donlea:_ 3.75 stars this is a great mystery/thriller. always solid reads from this author\\ \\ - _The Last Time I Lied by Riley Sager:_ 3 stars this was just okay. Felt dragged out but I like the ending. also felt a bit YA\\ \\ - _Brother by Ania Ahlborn_: 4.5 stars WOOWW this book is actually insane I'm obsessed. one of the darkest books Ive ever read\\ \\ - _The Perfect Son by Freida McFadden_: 3 stars this was just okay. fun time but not memorable\\ \\ \\ **DNF**\\ \\ - _Alchemised by Sen Lin Yu:_ I got to around 350pages with the audio book and the world building was too intricate and detailed to the point where the story wasn't progressing and every sentence was the most descriptive sentence about every little thing and I just could not do it anymore. I Never finished reading the HP series and did not read manacled. The writing wasn't "bad." in fact, it was quite beautiful. just the way the story was being told and the plot not progressing a the pace I wanted it to was disappointing.\\ \\ \\ Join for free or login](https://the-infinite-realms-bookclub.binderybooks.com/item/2WVB1kjQJSSnUzbOIX6U/) [October reading wrap up](https://the-infinite-realms-bookclub.binderybooks.com/item/2WVB1kjQJSSnUzbOIX6U/) * * * 10 books 1 [Infinite Realms Book Club \\ \\ Nozomi \\ \\ • Oct 12 2025](https://the-infinite-realms-bookclub.binderybooks.com/) Join for free [Hello everyone! Once in awhile we can switch it up and do different genres! For the first month, I went ahead and decided what books we will be reading and I really hope you will read with me! For fantasy genre we will be reading Wild Reverence by Rebecca Ross. For Thriller we will read Theme Music. There should be a discord link so that we can all discuss over there! 🩷🩷🩷\\ \\ Join for free or login](https://the-infinite-realms-bookclub.binderybooks.com/item/mQLJuVOUSlac0wMEMNqy/) [Welcome to the Infinite Realms Book Club](https://the-infinite-realms-bookclub.binderybooks.com/item/mQLJuVOUSlac0wMEMNqy/) * * * 2 books 5 [Kurryreads\\ \\ Kerry\\ \\ • Aug 14 2025](https://kurryreads.binderybooks.com/) Join for free [Ultimate Guide to Spooky Season Reading v2](https://kurryreads.binderybooks.com/item/8tHZjNYAvQi0eW9n04Qv/) Replying to @Kerry \| Booktok 📖 Ultimate Guide to Spooky Season Reading - Version 2 📚👻🔪 Timestamps: 00:28 Stranger Than Fiction 00:39 Witchy 00:47 Creature Feature 1:03 Dark Past-Potentially Paranormal 1:14 Possession 1:19 Slashers 1:32 Haunted House 1:42 Eco Horror/Plant Horror 1:48 Supernatural 1:57 Demonic/Occult 2:06 Cosmic 2:13 Folklore 2:26 Speculative 2:35 Young Adult 2:46 Paranormal 2:55 Psychological 3:03 Crime 3:13 Historical Fiction 3:29 Cult 3:43 Vampires 3:51 Weird Girl/Feminine Rage 4:00 Sci-Fi 4:08 Cannibalism #guidetospookyseasonreading #spookyreads #horrorbooks #cultbooks #paranormalbooks #hauntedhousebooks #possessionbooks #creaturefeature #booktok #booktoker #bookrecommendations #whattoread #vampirebooks #speculativehorror #youngadulthorror #folklorebooks #ecohorrorbooks #scifihorrorbooks #slasherbooks #scarybooks * * * 55 books 2
