If You Canceled Disney+, Hulu or ESPN Today, Please Consider Investing In This Community

Hello Friends,

I don't really know what I can say about the current moment other than I think divesting from traditional social media is more important now than ever.

I have no idea what the new Tiktok app is going to look like, but I do know that in the last week alone my FYP has been filled with right wing propaganda, making it less enjoyable (but at least I got more reading time? JK I CANT CONCENTRATE ON ANYTHING).

I am working hard to build up subscribers here (both free and paid), so that no matter what happens with Tiktok or Meta sites, I'll have a home to share my content with like minded folks.

Speaking of subscribers, I know that you see me often posting about subscribers and I wanted to let you know that is because the number of subscribers impacts the amount of books that we are able to publish per year.

We are currently approved for one book! I am trying hard to grow my paid subscribers by at least 100, but it feels like whenever I get one, another drops off. I would love to hear from you!

If you are not subscribed, what would make you subscribe for $5? What kind of exclusive content would you like?

If you felt inclined to cancel your Disney, Hulu or ESPN today (I did), consider investing back into this community.

Boozhoo Books is dedicated to promoting and uplifting marginalized authors and publishing voices that are necessary and timely. Help us bring these stories into the world! Your subscription fee is 1. put into the publishing of the books 2. invested back into the community to cover things like giveaway shipping 3. used for a little treat (like an iced coffee lol).

If you aren't in the community Discord yet. Now is the time to join. Come and join a community of diverse readers, get book recommendations and make new friends. There is one channel exclusively for paid members, but the rest are free. If anything has become clear in the last week, it's that community is so important.

<3 I will be back with some recommendation posts before the week is up!

All, I’m so happy to share that we have hit one of our preorder goals! We have gotten over 100 preorders at one of our indie partners: Praire Lights! We partnered with 3 indie books stores for our preorder campaign to give away a poster of the book cover. Our goal is to achieve 100 preorders from each store! Help us support these stores! This is such great news! If you haven’t preordered yet, please consider preordering at one of these today:

and as a reminder, if you can’t swing the $17.99 right now, the ebook is $3.99 everywhere! (Though I know you will want a physical copy once you read it!)

I would love the first book from my imprint to be a bestseller and this book deserves it! Thank you early readers and reviewers and thank you to everyone who had already preordered! Let me know below if you’ve already preordered or if you’re preordering right now.

666 Preorders! A What Feeds Below Milestone

Just the number I've been waiting for! 666! It's a lucky number! We are 334 preorders away from our 1,000 book preorder goal. For those of you who need a calculator like me, that's about 4 preorders a day until launch? Does anyone think they can convince 1 person a day to preorder? Great news for paid subscribers - it looks like arcs have started to arrive! On Friday, look out for the first of my weekly prompt series for WFB posts! If you love the book, please tag me in your reviews. If there are any criticisms (even if it's overall 5 stars) please do not tag Tatiana. Let's get this preorder # up to 1,000! (and again, huge thanks to everyone who has been, reading, reviewing and posting!) <3
