Bingo Winner(s) Update, Quiet Time Book Club Link, What I've Been Reading and Working On

Hello Friends,

I have extended the deadline for round one Bingo players to submit their Bingo card for the giveaway until the end of the day Wednesday. Winners will be notified on Thursday morning.

The easiest way to submit your Bingo card is on Discord: https://discord.gg/S6vwHnjfZh

The second easiest way is Instagram DM, I am trying to build up my Instagram since we might be losing Tiktok, so if you aren't already following me there, please go ahead and follow now: fromthemixedupdesk ig. If you are already following, would you mind sharing my page with your followers today and ask them to follow me for Indigenous book recs?

As you know, Pitchfest happened last week and has ended. I'm just now starting to look over manuscripts. I will be posting exclusive content later this week to talk about the process, the manuscripts and what happens next! Be sure to upgrade if you are interested in the publishing side of things and want to be able to give feedback! I am SO excited to be on the hunt for the first book of Boozhoo Books!

Quiet Time Book Club is happening tonight at 5pm PST/7pm CST! We meet on Zoom and read for 30 min and chat for 30 min. The link will be shared at the end of this post.

Last week I finished reading Guillotine by Delilah Dawson for the Women In Horror Book Club on Fable. WOW. I need to work on a review for this one this week. If you're looking for a quick and horrifying read before the end of the year that includes feminine rage, READ THIS.

I am currently reading Where They Last Saw Her by Marcie Rendon for the Good Day To Read Indigenous Book Club on Fable. I am about halfway finished with the mystery that centers on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and you need to pick this one up right now! Marcie Rendon is such a phenomenal storyteller! I am enjoying this so much. I am hoping to finish it up by the end of this week.

Once I complete my current read I will be at 93 books for the year! Look out for my 7 before the end list! I am very likely to go over as I am going to have 5 days off from work and will be doing a ton of reading!

Hope everyone is doing well and look forward to seeing you tonight at Quiet Time Book Club:

Naomi Darling is inviting you to a scheduled Zoom meeting.
