Boundless Press | Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands

I am FINALLY done reading all the books for the vlog where I read booktubers’ favourite books of 2023. All I can say is that the last book was a RIDE. I’m going to film an outro for the video this week and hopefully edit and get it up for next week.\ \
**February content planning! **I’ve got most of my videos locked down but if you have any content requests, please leave them in the comments ASAP!\ \ \ What I’m currently reading:\ \
I’m starting A Woman is No Man by Etaf Rum today, which is the February pick for my book club, the Boundless Book Club. If you’re not joining along on Fable then please do so! It really helps me out as a creator when you guys click these links and join! ++https://fable.co/club/boundless-book-club-with-jananie-k-velu-111751962292++\\ \
I was also BLESSED by the book gods yesterday and received an advanced reader copy of Goddess of the River\\ **by Vaishnavi Patel—who if you may remember is the author of one of my favourite books ever— Kaikeyi! I’m so hyped to read this new book from her and will definitely keep you all posted on what I think of it!\ \
Still just barely into _**Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands **_but already loving being back with our characters <3\ \ \ What’s currently giving me stress:\ \ - My health 😵‍💫 I have a chronic health issue that’s recently gotten worse over the winter months and I can’t tell if I’ve triggered it by something I’ve changed in my habits or if it’s just stress/seasonal depression related. Regardless, I had to take it easy a few days this week and it was frustrating not being able to get my Wednesday video up on the channel. However, I’m trying to not let it stop me and trying to look on the bright side of things!\ \ What I’m loving right now:\ \\- Desperate Housewives! **Y’all I started this show a couple weeks ago and it has a CHOKEHOLD on me. I’ve never seen it before and had always assumed it was some reality TV show based off the title, but now I’m a whole season in and absolutely addicted. It’s become my new show to watch when I need to decompress and definitely kept me company while I was ill this week.\ \ That’s all from me for today! Let me know what you’re all up to and what you’re reading <3](https://boundless.binderybooks.com/item/OMeYZye7ynYbQY7La1gc/)

[Hello Cozy Family!\ \ It's been a long time since I thought about creating an official top 10 ranking, so I figured I would give it a shot. It was much harder than I expected!! And I'm currently reading a book that I know will be high in my top 10 after finishing, but the idea of removing any of the mentioned books below from the ranking physically hurts aha.\ \ I might have to start doing re-rankings every other month if my reading keeps being as top tier as it has been so far this year! A brilliant struggle to have!\ \ What would be in your top 10 list? Please do share all the incredible books that could very well uproot all of our rankings!\ \ Without further ado, here is my (current) official top 10 books:\ \ 01. For Whom the Belle Tolls\ \ 02. A Court of Silver Flames\ \ 03. Judgement Road\ \ 04. House of Earth and Blood\ \ 05. Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands\ \ 06. Project Hail Mary\ \ 07. On the Same Page\ \ 08. Heir of Fire\ \ 09. The Phoenix Keeper\ \ 10. The Unmaking of June Farrow\ \ \ Honourable mentions (because I couldn't just list 10 when these were so close to making the cut):\ \

The Atlas Six\ \
Broken Bonds\ \
A Discovery of Witches\ \
Heroes of Olympus\ \
Uprooted\ \
Wisteria\ \ \ The book I'm currently reading that I KNOW will disrupt my current top 10 is Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid! Just wow! But as I haven't finished it yet, it feels wrong to add it to my official ranking just yet.\ \ The same goes for The Women by Kristin Hannah, which I always tell everyone is one of my favourite books of all time, and yet I haven't technically finished it... It was destroying me too much and I had to pause due to personal circumstances at the time. That was 2 years ago lol. I do plan to finish it, and I know it will then rule over my top 10 list, but until I'm ready to be emotionally destroyed by the ending, I'm putting it off. I want to finish it this year though, so it should be in my ranking by the end of 2026, fingers crossed!](https://charlottescozycorner.binderybooks.com/item/GJMRFwtnzbI0a7a4McgN/)

Your Favourite Cottagecore Witch Dares you to pick a few favourite reads from this year and comment it below so we can build a magical forest🤎🍄‍🟫🍂

I have had so many good reads towards the end of the year once I realised that I am a gothic, cottagecore and cozy fantasy kind of person. I still enjoy romantasy but I realised that I cannot solely read romantasy and ignore my favourite sub-genre! What have you realised this year from your reading habits?

Here are some favourites from this year’s read in no particular order: 🍄‍🟫 My Throat an Open Grave by @toribovalino 🍄‍🟫 Legends & Lattes by @travis_baldree 🍄‍🟫 Legacy of the Heir by @author_lauracarter 🍄‍🟫 The Bell Witches by @lindseykelk 🍄‍🟫 Once Upon an Apple by @landiwrites 🍄‍🟫 A Sorceress comes to Call by @redwombatstudio 🍄‍🟫 The Hedgewitch of Foxhall by @brightlyanna 🍄‍🟫 The Will of the Many by @jamesislington_author 🍄‍🟫 Minor Works of Meda by @juliette.caruso.author 🍄‍🟫 Nettle & bone by @redwombatstudio 🍄‍🟫 What the River Knows by @isabelwriter09 🍄‍🟫 Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands by @heather_fawcett

Cottagecore, Witchy & Gothic Fantasy

When you’re a fantasy reader, but focusing on very different sub-genres🥹

Ever since starting my Bookstagram, I’ve had the pleasure of discovering so many new books that I wouldn’t have read. However, I did end up in a bit of a reading slump because of reading Arcs only and not spending time reading some of my favourite sub-genre which are not as popular as other ones

I’m putting more of an effort to read Cottagecore, cozy, witchy & gothic fantasy now🥹🤎

What’s your favourite sub-genre?🤎
