1. The Gentle Art of Fortune Hunting

A gruff baronet suspects the handsome man courting his niece is actually a fortune hunter. When he looks into him though, they become close. What I loved about this was the fact that the baronet character is seen as ‘ugly’ by society in the book. So much so that he doesn’t consider himself worthy of attention or love.

2. Copper Script

A policeman fighting corruption in London becomes interested in a graphologist and sets out to prove whether his talents are real. The plot focuses on corruption in the police as well as their romance.

3. The Secret Lives of Country Gentlemen

A young man ends a fling with a man from Kent, then suddenly inherits land and becomes a baronet. Can they rekindle the romance? The smuggler character is revealed to be part Black.

Overall, KJ Charles is becoming one of my new favorite authors!
