3 Ace Books that Deserve More Hype

Hi folks, it’s Ace week! Much love to those this week applies to. Here are three books with asexual representation that I think deserve tons of recognition.

The Cybernetic Tea Shop by Meredith Katz

This is a sweet, sapphic cosy sci fi romance novella about a woman who falls for the robot woman who works at her local tea shop. The robot woman is asexual, and the romance is absolutely lovely.

Fallen Thorns by Harvey Oliver Baxter

An aroace student gets turned into a vampire and taken in by a local vampire coven, bonding with a particular vampire rock band, especially the non-binary singer. But he fears something sinister is lurking within him… This has so many twists and turns, it really kept me guessing.

Must Love Cake by Azalea Crowley

This is a cozy horror romance novelette, about an asexual autistic zombie and a demon with ADHD, who meet at a night market and bond over their love of cake. It’s one of my favourite pieces of fiction ever and I want everyone to read it.

That’s all folks, much love!

Diverse Discoveries: Queer Cosy Fantasy

Here are three cosy fantasy books (beyond Legends and Lattes) that I love:

A Second Story by J.A. Collignon

Two adventurers fall in love, give up their dangerous life, and move to the seaside to open a bookshop.

A Rival Most Vial by R.K. Ashwick

A sunshine-y potion maker opens a new shop directly opposite a grumpy potion maker. Rivalry ensues, but so does attraction.

In the Care of Magic by Robin Jo Margaret

Warning, this one is spicy! An overworked plus-size witch takes a holiday to a cottage and summons an aromantic, agender sex demon. The two have a great connection and friendship blossoms, but can they make it work for more than just a holiday?
