Day six: 4 down, 27 to go…and only 25 days left!!
I think I’m going to pick up a thriller today (I’m hitting romance burnout lol)—I’m waffling between a Freida McFadden or Natural Selection by Clare Edge. I’m more excited for Natural Selection, but the Freida books are shorter and binge-ier (if that’s a word) so it’ll be a toss up!

I have been called a white washed black girl my entire life and it has made black history month very hard to celebrate in recent years because I just never felt like I belonged? This year was the first year that I really want t celebrate and I feel comfortable and accepted in my own skin and it's all thanks to these books!

however any book written by a black author with at least one black main character is a part of the black experience and should be celebrated! that includes interracial and multicultural romances 🫶🏾
