### Rescheduling Events

**Good morning!**

Due to some unexpected circumstances, I need to cancel the events I had planned for the rest of this week. I will reschedule them in a few days, but for now, I just wanted you to be aware that we wouldn't be meeting as planned! This includes:
- Cost of Freedom meeting tonight
- My Insta LIVE with Inez Ray tomorrow, discussing Liberating Abortion chapter 5

I will reschedule both of these in a few days! Thanks, y'all!

### Cost of Freedom Meeting Update

I had hoped to be able to share a recording of our first meeting for **_Tender is the Flesh_**, but I have not been able to download the recording from Zoom.
If and when that changes, I'll share it, but for now, here is what you need to know:
Our conversation focused on a few key points:
- Systems of oppression are designed to illicit complicity from even those who resist them.
- While this specific story is a horrific display, it is meant to help us reflect on the way we, ourselves, justify our complicity in our everyday lives.

We also discussed specific scenes in the book and how we felt about them, but overall, we stuck to these larger conversations. I also dropped a blog last week asking people when we would like to meet to discuss the second half of the book, and it looks like the date that worked best is Next Tuesday, July 14th, at 7pm CST.

Thanks everyone! Look forward to speaking with you Tuesday!
