As you know, I have tried to keep this community as accessible as possible. Which is why the vast majority of my content is available to all tiers and why I emphasize the importance of being in the discord, where we can all engage with one another.

This is especially important to me because every single person who has joined this community is playing a role in the work that we are doing. Whether you are helping to financially fund our publishing projects, or you are working tirelessly to spread the word about the work we are doing, you are playing a huge role in everything we are able to accomplish. And I am constantly looking for ways I can acknowledge you and celebrate what we are accomplishing together.

Right now, the most public way that we celebrate our supporters is by listing our $12 and $25 subscribers in the back of each of our books on a dedicator collaborators page. I wish I could list everyone who participates in this community, but obviously it is just not possible to add 3,000 names to a book. But here is what I CAN do... I am going to give away TEN $12 subscriptions.

That's right. Ten of you who are currently subscribed for free or for $5 a month are going to get upgraded for three months, and as a result, your name is going to be listed in Devil of the Deep on our dedicated collaborators list.

If that interests you, here is what you need to know:

Our first will launch this October, so make sure to go pre-order your copy: https://bookshop.org/a/87137/9781964721521

Does a Weaver count? I'm thinking of the lore of South of Midnight. If not, the Rootcrafters in the Legendborn series.

My favorite is the duppy, a creepy Caribbean monster. My family would travel to St. Vincent when I was kid and the ladies there would scare me with stories about the duppy and give me nightmares.

Vampires and mermaids 🙂‍↔️

KDGberg • Jun 26 2025

I love mermaids and the fae…but if we’re talking book characters, it’s gotta be Malachi from Our Vicious Oaths.

I love to know about mythical creatures related to myths, but if I've to pick up a favourite— it would be a mermaid.

I'm a Fae & Dragon/ Wyvern person. The first Dragon I loved and remembered their name was Saphira. Now I'm here for Zephyra from so let them burn

The Childe Empyrean(So Let Them Burn)/any Black character who can speak to the Gods or their Ancestors like RootCrafters in Legendborn. Witches as well! Omg there’s so many!
