WE DID IT! WE HAVE AN IMPRINT!

Thank you for all of your support! As of today, Left Unread is the newest Bindery Imprint! And this summer, I am on the hunt for the next Octavia Butler!

Y'all... we did it!!!! AHHHH!!!!!!

I have been DYING the last few weeks, having to keep this secret from all of you! And now that it's out there, I am feeling all the things. I am excited, anxious, overwhelmed, hopeful, encouraged, and fighting hard to beat that imposter syndrom into retreat! I fully believed we'd be here the moment I agreed to join Bindery, but I somehow still can't believe it's happening!

I am so grateful for every single one of you! Your support and engagement is 100% the reason I am able to now take all of the work I have been fighting for to the next level! This imprint means I can continue doing exactly what I have been doing, but I no longer have to do it ALONE! And you do not know how much that means to me. This journey has been HARD! I have learned, grown, failed, succeeded, pushed and hustled! And while it has been rewarding and IMPORTANT, it is HARD to do this kind of work with very little help and almost no resources!

So I am EXCITED to see what this vision looks like at this level!

What can you expect going forward?

This summer, Bindery will be doing another pitchfest, and I am on the hunt for the next great Black or brown thinker! I am looking for something in the fantasy or sci-fi genre, hopefully something very dystopian and edgy; something that challenges readers on a deep level. I want the next Octavia Butler or N.K. Jemisin, frankly! And I'm not settling for less!

Specifically in Bindery, I will continue my content as normal, posting regularly and promoting Black and brown indies. None of that work will change. But in addition to it, my paid subscribers can look forward to some additional content as I share excerpts from the manuscripts I am looking at, talk about story ideas I am particularly excited by, and invite you into the entire process of finding, producing and marketing our FIRST LEFT UNREAD BOOK!!!!

I appreciate every single one of you that have helped take this dream one step closer to being fulfilled! For those of you that are not at a paid tier, do not feel pressured to upgrade! If you have the funds to and want to have a more active role in the publishing process, or just want to financially support the work, I encourage you to upgrade. But I value you exactly where you are too and will continue to engage as I have been! I will never put community behind a paywall. We're in this together!!!
