Poll: Which book are we reading next?

What do you think of The Bewitching now that we've finished?

The following is what was discussed last week during our live session:

Group Questions:

• Did Carolyn have something to do with Ginny's disappearance? She dislikes talking about Ginny and her disappearance.
• Did Arturo have something to do with Tadeo's disappearance? Seems to get frustrated when bewitchments/curses are mentioned.
• Was Ginny as close to Santiago as the other girls seem to think?

Timelines and Key Characters

1908
Alba, Tadeo (Alba's brother), Arturo (Alba's uncle), Valentin (Interested in Alba)

1934
Carolyn, Virginia "Ginny" (missing), Beatrice Tremblay "Betty"

1998
Minerva (Alba's great granddaughter, researching Beatrice Tremblay), Hideo (Minerva's friend), Conrad (student), Carolyn Yates (connection to Beatrice Tremblay), Noah (Carolyn's grandson)

Observations:

• Important note: Noah mentions his grandmother always chooses students from lower-class backgrounds and puts them through school.
• Arturo is a villain and definitely grooming Alba.
