It’s been a week since @booknetfest and mentally, I’m still at Prom 🥹
I had the loveliest experience attending BNF for the second year in a row. This time, I was on 3 panels and we should have been required to bring tissues because someone kept cutting onions (or maybe that was just us feeling safe enough to release all of our frustrations, but who’s to say)
Thank you @mynameismarines and @thoughtsontomes for organizing this wonderful event with such wonderful people 🫶🏾
(If I didn’t tag you, please let me know so I can add the tag. I couldn’t remember everyone’s usernames 🥲)

fragrances can 100% immerse me more in stories!!
fragrances can 100% immerse me more in stories!! disney rides have got this down pat lol. and scent is also SUPER connected to memories, so if I read a book and associate a scent with it, that’s bonus cool.
(tbh i could also do this with candles/diffuser oils that i burn while reading, but maybe that’s too niche???)
📚 books mentioned: - Beautyland by Marie-Helene Bertino (Soft Spot - @phlur) - The Sunbearer Trials by Aiden Thomas (Percy - @olfactorynyc) - The Teller of Small Fortunes by Julie Leong (Crumb Couture - @snif.co) - Vampires of El Norte by Isabel Cañas (Missing Person - Phlur) - Elatsoe by Darcie Little Badger (7 Summers - @dimebeautyco)
👗💄: - fragrances listed above!! - dress is from @anthropologie (@bhldn), rented from @nuuly - (also if you have a question about my makeup or something i’m wearing, most of it is curated in my shopmy!)

here are some completed duologies (these are all YA fantasy and sci fi) for you to dive into! i adore series and i REALLY adore standalones, but duologies are brilliant for those slightly longer (but not overwhelming) story arcs.
